The Nine Roadblocks

There are nine major roadblocks on the road to financial freedom.

  1. Housing Cost: these may include rent or mortage, property taxes and insurance.
  2. Transportation Cost: automobile notes, automobile insurance, automobile maintenance and gasoline are common cost associated with transportation.
  3. Food Cost: groceries and eating out can be expensive, but they are daily.
  4. Utilities: these are monthly bills like electricity, water and cellphone.
  5. Childcare Expenses: these are the expenses that come with having children.
  6. Taxes: taxes accounts for a big percentage of your paycheck.
  7. Medical Expenses: healthcare can be very costly.
  8. College/Education: student loans can range from thousands to ten thousands to hundreds of thousands of debt.
  9. Excessive Spending: unintentional spending robs many of the potential to gain control of their finances.
